Adikesavan A S Continuation on 15 SEP 23 morning IST: The twilght (dawn) duration increases with latitude. At the landing spot nearer to South Pole of the Moon, this could be more than one Moon day. So Dawn-Sunlight has fallen on the Rver this Morning.

Adikesavan A S For us, it is 7 days after (16 August 23) New Moon. Anytime, Prime Meridian Longitude (0 degree) of Moon is central to us;it was midnight here and the alignment was Earth-Moon-Sun. However, relating Moon to Sun, a longitude circle turns @ nearly 13 degree / day. Chandrayan 3 landing-site longitude is nearly 30 deg ahead, So, 7 days later, on 23 Aug 23, meridian longitude time becomes our morning Sunrise time and the time for landingwas after Sunsise. One lunar day and night periodis nearly our 1 hour. I think I have explained the significance of the choice,

Adikesavan A S For us, it is 7 days after (16 Aug 23) New Moon. Anytime, Moon's (0-longitude)Prime Meridian is nearly central for us. However, relating Moon to Sun, the centrlal longitude increases @ nearly 13 deg /day. Chandrayan3 landing site longitude is about 30 degree ahead of Prime Meridian. On 16th it was (least shadow) Noon time at 0 deg longitude, So, it was after noon for Moon. Mooon;s (sunrise to Sunset) daytime isnearly 14 days. Surmise: There was sufficient sunlight then at the landing location..
